Nick and MoMo

Nick & MoMo

The Union Tavern in Houston was the concept of two friends from Philadelphia (Philly). Nick was in the waste management business for over 20 years and his high school friend, MoMo, has been a contractor in the Philly area for many years. They have always enjoyed the local bar, tavern and pub scene in their Philly neighborhoods. So Why Texas for one of their own places? Nick and MoMo are dear friends of a local family in Houston, who already operate several businesses. On a recent visit to their friends, Nick and MoMo decided to finance a local tavern here. They wanted the working man to experience a decent place to come for happy hours and evening activities that had a neighborhood feel. It was important that the staff be friendly and the beverage pricing be fair for the average worker. Now, you might not see Nick or MoMo at the place, but they will be "watching" from Philly to make sure the management is operating the tavern properly and you're having a good time.

1. Where is the Union Tavern? Union Tavern is located at 435A El Dorado Blvd in Webster, Texas2. Why the Name - Union Tavern? First of all, it's not a Yankee thing and does not refer to union workers. The name Union Tavern refers to the common man/woman- the working class. That's it, plain and simple.3. Who manages the Union Tavern? Nick and MoMo convinced the GM of a local sports bar to act as GM for their place. The OPS Manager is Randy Prince.4. How did MoMo gets his name? Well, his real name is Marlon Marrone. Growing up he had many a fight over that name, so his friends began calling him MoMo.5. The owners sound like they are Mafia people..... Despite what you see/hear on TV, there is no such thing as Mafia according to Nick and MoMo. 6. Are Nick and MoMo owners of MOMO's in Austin? Nope. Nick and MoMo have nothing to do with that music venue.7. Will the Union Tavern have live music? Yes. We will have 1 regular band per week and special event bands here and there.8. What type of things will one be able to do at the Union Tavern? we have an killer dart room plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game and fights shuffleboard pool Music- jukebox and live All the usual stuff one would expect at a neighborhood tavern9. Will people under 21 years of age be allowed in the Union Tavern? Sorry, but the Union Tavern is only for those of legal drinking age.10. What type of food do you serve? At this time, we are not serving food. However, our best bud at Dan's Pizza in Webster will be glad to deliver your favorite "stuff" to you at Union. Menus are available at Union.11. Hours of Operation:SUN - SAT 2PM-2AMFOOTBALL SEASON WE OPEN AT 11AM ON SUNDAYS! 11AM-2AM.
